Our initial investigation on how the basic tenet of atonal music may resonate with visual stimuli. As atonal music modulated (the rigidity of) tonality, we modulate (the rigidity of) color temperature and exposure. Yet the image content is mass-production in essence: plasticky beauty as a supermarket product, with the picture frames made of Lego blocks.

Originally proposed as an installation with pairs of MRIs put on actual hospital light boxes.
Street poles are linked together across the globe by being keepers of urban memories, even when they are clean or have been cleaned. This wants to be humble photography for humble subjects, hence silver duct tape is used to frame the pictures. Very light foam backing is used to convey the sensation of caducity. Best if displayed under strong sunlight to speed up the fading of the image.
Taken in Berlin, Milan, and San Francisco with fast lenses for extremely shallow depth of focus. As all our pictures, these are unique pieces.
